Carlos Sainz joined Ferrari in 2021, replacing Sebastian Vettel as Charles Leclerc's new teammate. In subsequent seasons, the 30-year-old pilot landed 25 podiums, six pole positions and four victories.
Carlos Sainz nostalgic for his adventure with Ferrari
His adventure with the Italian team ended with the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in 2025, forcing Carlos Sainz to look for another steering wheel. He eventually decided to join Williams, and on that occasion he looked back fondly moments shared with Ferrari.
“It is very difficult to choose one of the four victories as the most unforgettable, because they are all relatively similar in some ways… Four very different victories, but all very moving”explained Carlos Sainz during his final weekend as a Ferrari driver in Abu Dhabi. « Silverstone [en 2022]because it was the first, and the first, we never forget it. A delicate 2024 season
Although his time at Ferrari was marked by many happy memories, Carlos Sainz also acknowledged that the 2024 season has not always been easy. He previously admitted decisions over his F1 future caused him “a little stress”.
“It’s been a difficult year in general, with a lot going on behind the scenes”he conceded. “I think I can be quite satisfied, quite proud of the way I handled every situation throughout the year and the way I managed to push myself until the end of the season, always in good shape and ready to fight for [le championnat des constructeurs]. »
