Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Maxence Caqueret is of interest to many clubs in the Premier League.
During the last transfer windows, theOlympique Lyonnais was strengthened with the arrival of Saïd Benrahma, Georges Mikautadze and Jordan Veretout, which resulted in considerable expense. However, with all these expenses, the club is forced to sell several players. Potential departures include Rayan Cherki, Malick Fofanaet Maxence Caqueret. The departure of the midfielder was already considered last summer to Bayer Leverkusen, but he ultimately stayed at OL.
Trained with the Lyonnais, Maxence Caqueret is considered a club kid. Very young, he revealed himself at the highest level alongside players like Houssem Aouar, Memphis Depay, and Moussa Dembélé, and he was promised a bright future. However, it never fully reached the level hoped for. From now on, a departure from Les Gones seems likely. According to GiveMeSport, the 24-year-old Frenchman would be of interest Tottenham, West Ham, Crystal Palace et Everton. To sell it, Lyon could be forced to listen to offers at reduced prices, what English clubs are looking to exploit, or consider a loan.
-The Premier League, the right destination?
At 24 years old, Maxence Caqueret is closer than ever to leaving his favorite club. With only 14 matches played this season in all competitions, Pierre Sage does not seem to fully trust the midfielder.
The Premier League appears to be a destination of choice for the Frenchman. With his future at OL now uncertain, and despite a contract running until 2027an early departure seems the most likely option. For Olympique Lyonnais, Selling Caqueret could offer an opportunity to rebalance his finances after his recent spending in the transfer market. As for Caqueret, a transfer to England could be an opportunity to relaunch his career and demonstrate his full potential on a bigger stage.
