The clash between Minera and Real Madrid will take place on Kings Day.
Deportiva Minera has decided to lower the prices of some tickets for the Copa del Rey match which will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Cartagonova stadium in Cartagena against Real Madrid. Tickets had been on sale for three weeks, with prices ranging from 80 euros for the upper tiers to 150 euros for the main stand, and 100 euros for the side seats. In addition, seats in the stand near the box have reached up to 250 euros.
The price, which previously offered a 30 euro discount for Minera members, saw a significant reduction at the start of the year, allowing the most expensive tickets to be purchased at a lower amount. For example, 150 euro tickets can now be had for just over half the price, or 80 euros, while 250 euro tickets are available for 200 euros. This decision naturally led to frustrations among supporters.

On social networks, supporters who bought their tickets earlier did not hide their dissatisfaction with this decision, which surprised the club led by José Blaya. Those who have already paid out of pocket find the measure illogical, especially knowing that around 1,500 tickets remain unsold for this historic match, which will take place in an enclosure with a capacity of 15,000 spectators.
All of this happens on Three Kings Day, a time that has also been criticized due to the traditional parade that is held across Spain. When the RFEF made it official, the confusion over ticket prices for the match began. When followers of the mining club and other football fans learned of the ticket prices, they quickly voiced their concerns on social media. The pressure proved so significant that Minera ultimately gave in to the demands of its supporters, reducing all ticket prices for Monday’s match at 7:00 p.m.

The welcome move, which comes at the start of the year, should see the Cartagonova Stadium reach a ‘full house’ as they aim to create history by eliminating Ancelotti’s side. Deportiva Minera have already pulled off an upset against Deportivo Alavés and now hope to give their fans a special gift on Kings Day.
