Philippe Greffier: “The time has come, even more than yesterday, for the need for local solidarity”

“If, in addition to international tensions, there has been political instability this year which affects all stakeholders in the national territory, as in our living areas, the time is even more urgent than yesterday for the need for local solidarity, and joint work to preserve our community, and build great prospects for the future. The collective dynamic that is ours within the Castelnaudary Lauragais Audois Community of Communes is in this context a major asset.

So after having built our territorial project, with the 500 elected officials leading the municipal councils of our 43 communes, we returned to meet them to report on our common work.

Nearly 90% of the actions that we had defined, in close collaboration with the agricultural world and business leaders, have been partially or entirely carried out. So many actions aimed at providing responses adapted to the expectations of our 28,000 inhabitants, improving living conditions, and strengthening the attractiveness of our living area!

In 2024 the dynamics of our territory have been confirmed, it is based on an economic dynamic reinforced by the installation of new companies: from VSEs in the agri-food sector to those in the agricultural hydraulics sector, without forgetting luxury leather goods, there are around ten production units that strengthen our economy and offer many quality jobs. In 2025 we will continue to strengthen economic attractiveness and job creation in our living area, despite the unfavorable national context, thanks to the energy of our business leaders, and the actions we are taking with them to support them in the creation of wealth and jobs.

This year again we will develop our services, aimed at early childhood, youth and adolescents by developing premises dedicated to them, by new actions built with and for them, and by extending the work undertaken with our young people. around citizenship. We will continue our support for caregivers, from hospitals to professionals, to facilitate access to care, with the arrival of a new scanner at the hospital, a SMUR service open 24 hours a day, and will prepare the installation of an MRI….

We will also address environmental issues, with significant work on the circular economy, recycling, reuse, soft mobility, decarbonization of transport, which will be the subject of strong mobilization, but also by strengthening our Territorial Food Plan!
