AC Milan has a striker in its sights (and Barça knows him well)

The AC Milan transfer window could get carried away in the coming days. Poorly ranked in Serie A – 8th, which notably forced the departure of Paulo Fonseca and the appointment of Sérgio Conceição in the process -, the Rossoneri believe that one of the keys to trying to reverse the situation would be to strengthen this winter. According to information from the Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sportseveral players have even already been identified, and are part of the catalog of agent Jorge Mendes. Among them, we find in particular Francisco Trincão.

Aged 25, the right winger who plays for Sporting CP is one of the headliners of the Portuguese championship. After an excellent 2023/2024 season (10 goals and 10 assists in 48 matches), the native of Viana do Castelo continues this season with even higher standards (6 goals and 11 assists in 27 matches), and has found a place in the lists of the Portugal coach, Roberto Martinez.

But despite being one of the best players in La Liga Portugal, doubts may remain about him. Indeed, before joining Sporting CP, Francisco Trincão experienced a long journey through the desert. Transferred to FC Barcelona in 2020, after revealing himself at SC Braga, the Portuguese striker quickly went crazy. The step was definitely too big for him, and he then left on loan to Wolverhampton the following season. Things didn't go well there either. However, at 25, with the experience gained and the maturity gained, things could go differently, if he leaves for AC Milan.
