Raymond Kalla: “It’s the best generation in Cameroon”, the former Indomitable Lion zaps Roger Milla and Thomas Nkono

Raymond Kalla, the former slender defender of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, revealed the team which he believes is the best generation in the country.

The former Sivasspor stopper in Türkiye believes that the 2002 Cameroon national team is the best the country has ever known.

The former player, in an interview, reviewed the players who made up the Indomitable Lions team at the time and concluded that it was the best in history.

For Raymond Kalla, even the legendary Cameroonian team of 1990 composed of Roger Milla or Thomas Nkono is below this dream team.

As a reminder, the generation to which Raymond Kalla refers managed to win two CANs consecutively between 2000 and 2002.

“The best generation that Cameroon has ever had. 2002 is the best. You had Aliou Boukar, who we call the cat, in the goals.

(In defense), captain courage (Rigobert Song). He was unleashing everything. He only played with his heart. And in front, we had two killers, Patrick Mboma and Samuel Eto'o.

You had Rigobert Song, Salomon Olembe, Bill Tchato… You had Geremi Ndjitp, a good hitter who was always present. A very good full-back.

Marc Vivien Foé who was our master in midfield, who won all the balls, was a very good person. Etamé Mayer (Lauren), an exceptional player.

I had a very important role. I wasn't seen much, but this is the best generation that Cameroon has ever known.”explained the former central defender of the Indomitable Lions.
