After a mixed start to the 2024 season, marked by only one victory in the form of a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games, former world number one Novak Djokovic revealed a strategic approach to dealing with the emergence of new tennis stars. Under the tutelage of his new coach Andy Murray, Djokovic is preparing to make a formidable comeback.
Speaking from Brisbane, Australia (AP), Djokovic stressed that his game plan is not a radical overhaul, but rather a series of tactical adjustments aimed at strengthening his competitiveness against the younger generation of players. Among those rivals is 23-year-old Jannik Sinner, current number one seed, who won titles at the Australian Open and US Open last year. Additionally, Djokovic also faces 21-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, who has dominated the Grand Slam circuit by winning Wimbledon and the French Open.
