Better compensated caregiver leave
From January 1, 2025, an employee (private or public) who has already received the daily caregiver allowance (Ajpa) will be able to benefit from it again when accompanying another person afterwards. Until the end of 2024, Ajpa (€64.54 per day) is only granted once over an entire career, up to a maximum of 66 days.
The dematerialized Vitale card
In order to secure the data of the digital Vitale card, tested in twenty-three departments, the government plans to link it to the digital national identity card (CNIe) by integrating it into the France Idété application. From then on, the CNIe and the Vitale card would be merged in their dematerialized version. At the doctor or pharmacy, all you have to do is open the dedicated app on your smartphone.
Sick leave less covered
The reimbursement ceiling for sick leave will be revised downwards: it should go from 1.8 SMIC to 1.4 SMIC for compensation paid by Health Insurance. To be continued in 2025.
Medications and doctor’s consultations less reimbursed by Social Security
Health Insurance should only reimburse 60% of the price of consultations with the general practitioner or midwife, compared to 70% currently. It will be up to the mutuals to handle the rest.

After Hauts-de-France and Occitanie, the system will be deployed throughout the territory. Carried out by health professionals and 100% supported, it aims to detect risk factors and silent diseases.
