The announcement of the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra is fast approaching, and there is a chance that a fourth model will also be unveiled at the start of 2025: the Galaxy S25 Slim. Playing on finesse, and challenging the launch of the iPhone SE 4 in March and Apple's iPhone 17 Air in September, this new high-end smartphone would have a few tricks up its sleeve.
The latest concerns the photo part. The leaker @Jukanlosreve actually shared on Twitter/X on December 26, 2024 that Samsung would have opted for an innovative photo part. Indeed, we discover that ALoP technology, for All Lenses on Prism, would be included on the telephoto lens. The goal: to reduce the thickness of the photo module, which would follow the thinness objective of the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Presented last November, this innovation from Samsung reinvents the structure of the sensor and its prism to offer zoom capabilities without loss of quality in a much more compact format.
As a bonus, the new lens arrangement would deliver notable improvements in terms of brightness. This allows you to benefit from a round sensor and not a square one as on traditional telephoto lenses, offering design uniformity with the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle.
As a reminder, Samsung's Galaxy S25 Slim should be less than 7 mm thick, falling below the 7.6 mm mark of the Galaxy S24. A fight of finesse which would seem very laudable in the face of Apple and its future iPhone 17 Air, expected for the start of the 2025 school year.
