(Adnkronos) – Tonight's attack on the Christmas market in Madgdeburg brings to mind the one that occurred on 19 December 2016 in Berlin. Then there were 12 deaths – including the Italian Fabrizia Di Lorenzo – and 56 injured. An articulated lorry with a Polish license plate coming from Turin, driven by the Tunisian Anis Amri, hit the crowd of visitors to the Breitscheidplatz Christmas market, near the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin. On the night of December 23, Amri, who had managed to escape after the attack, was killed in Italy in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan) during a police check outside the train station. The attack was claimed by the Islamic State. —internazionale/[email protected] (Web Info)
