Ange Postecoglou, manager of Tottenham, commented on the match won against Manchester United as follows: “Didn’t you have fun? What do you want? Would you have preferred a lackluster 1-0?“. Postecoglou then spoke about the performance: “We played really well, controlling the match great. This race is a bit like the manifesto of our season, we sabotage ourselves in some moments and we have to make a further effort to get out of these moments. In the end we managed to achieve victory and qualification. It could have been easier than it was, but that being said I still can’t ignore the fact that this group of players is doing an incredible job right now to get us through this. Once again, we played purposeful football and scored four goals. In the second half we were a little more tired because we don’t have everyone available and the same ones always play, but we still held our own. I’m really very proud of my boys.”

On Forster and his mistake: “I saw him as very disappointed also because he was fundamental for us. In the first half, but also afterwards, his play with his feet was very important, he always found perfect tracks for his teammates. The first mistake perhaps took away some of his confidence which then had repercussions on the second too. He is also a decisive member of our team and in this period he was vital for everyone. Tonight we had 10 players unavailable and one day less rest than Manchester United. We have the possibility of turnover, but we simply have to take it match after match, this is what we can do with the means available at the moment.”
These are some of the words of Ange Postecoglou after the victory over Manchester United and what a jab, to the microphones of Sky Sports, towards the journalists and some commentators who had attacked him in recent weeks.
