Despite the contract already signed Sergio Perez will not race for Red Bull in 2025. This announcement came after a year of difficulties and rumors that saw the Mexican out of the team. In recent days these rumors have become increasingly intense, until they became official.

“Driving for Red Bull was an unforgettable experience and I will always cherish the successes we achieved together. We have broken records and achieved extraordinary goals and I have been privileged to meet so many incredible people along the way”.

Sergio Perez continued by thanking the team members, and concluded by talking about his teammate and his supporters. “It was also an honor to race alongside Max as a teammate all these years and share our success. Special thanks to fans around the world, and especially to Mexican fans for your unwavering support every day. We will meet again soon. And remember: never give up.”

Christian Horner then took the floor and, despite having experienced a difficult season together with the entire Red Bull team also due to Sergio Perez, did not hold back from his compliments.

“Since its arrival in 2021, he proved to be an extraordinary team manhelping us win two constructors’ titles and achieve our first double in the drivers’ championship.”.

“Its five victories, all on street circuitswere also a spectacular sign of his determination to always push himself to the limit. Even though Checo will not be racing for the team next season, he will always be an extremely popular member of the team and a valuable part of our history. Thanks, Checo”.

The drivers market is now back on with the unknown Red Bull and VCARB, the only two teams not to have completed the line up. The most accredited hypothesis seems to be that of Lawson’s move to Red Bull.
