The end of an era
Six world titles, 84 victories and 78 pole positions. These three numbers are enough to summarize the extraordinary nature of the Lewis duo Hamilton–Mercedeswhich lasted 12 seasons and closed with a comeback fourth place in Abu Dhabi. The seven-time world champion, after three years of ups and downs, wants a team that will guarantee him competitiveness at the highest levels throughout the season and give him the chance to win his eighth crown.
Wolff’s words
Toto will also be rooting for Sir Lewis Wolffhis battle companion in the golden era of Mercedes. The Austrian, if the Brackley team were to fail again in the assault on the title, would support Hamilton without problems despite the Briton abandoning him for Ferrari.
“Obviously Mercedes, with its drivers and its brand, represents the main priority. We will give everything we have to win. If we didn’t, we’d be rooting for Lewis’ eighth title“, these are Wolff’s words.
A balanced 2025
Unless 2024 was a great illusion, the season that will start in Melbourne promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years, with Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes capable of winning races and finishing on the podium. In these balanced power relations, the champion emerges and cannibalizes the others (we saw it this year with Max Verstappen and Lando Norris), and it is logical that Hamilton sees 2025 as a great opportunity for redemption after Abu Dhabi 2021.
