Formula 1 Red Bull – Red Bull is preparing to dissolve its reservations about its team lineups for 2025. After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, management began a series of discussions to establish the future of both teams, with Sergio Perez’s role appears increasingly in the balance, despite a contract already in place for next season.
The Mexican driver himself admitted that discussions with the team are ongoing: “We are trying to understand what is the best path to take. We will evaluate the situation together and see if it will be possible to reach an agreement. Otherwise, my contract for next year remains valid.”
Red Bull, soon a choice for 2024
The decision now seems close. Helmut Marko has in fact anticipated that an announcement will arrive in the next few days. The promotion of Liam Lawson alongside Max Verstappen in the main lineup is the most concrete possibility. The New Zealander, thanks to his recent performances, has earned the trust of the team, overcoming his internal competition.
At the same time, Yuki Tsunoda obtained positive feedback during the post-season tests in Abu Dhabi, where the car showed good compatibility with his driving style. However, the Japanese is set to continue his career at Racing Bulls, leaving room for Lawson’s possible advancement.
Tsunoda, Lawson or a surprise
If this choice is confirmed, Racing Bulls could welcome Isack Hadjar. The Frenchman, currently considered among the most promising talents, would join the new generation of debutants expected in 2025, together with Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Gabriel Bortoleto. The wait for the definition of the line-ups is drawing to a close. Red Bull, with one eye on continuity and the other on enhancing new talent, is preparing to outline a lineup ready to face the challenges of next season, keeping options open for possible changes.
