As a preamble to the session of municipal council of Flers (Orne), on Monday December 16, 2024, the elected officials wanted to pay tribute to the little Manelle« child of Flers, full of life, dreams and promise” died as a result of her injuries during an accident on Thursday, December 12 during a school trip to Flers.

It is Lori Helloco1st deputy, who officiated, in the absence of Yves Goasdoué, absent for health reasons.

Unspeakable pain

“This tragedy has shaken our entire city, and well beyond, plunging each of us into a unspeakable pain », expressed Lori Helloco. “It will belong to thejudicial authority alone to shed light on the exact circumstances of the accident and the death of Manelle. An immeasurable drama

“As a sign of solidarity and respect, the city of Flers took the initiative of offering Manelle’s family the responsibility of paying for the funeral. This gesture, although modest, translates our collective desire to support themin their mourning and to show them that in this ordeal, they are not alone. »

The loss of a child is an immeasurable tragedy and this tragedy reminds us of the importance of humanism, mutual support and the love that we must have for each other.
