Cultural diversity: an award for Belt-Tech

COMPANY. The commitment of the Belt-Tech company, from Granby, to cultural diversity was recently highlighted by Intercultural Actions which awarded it the 2024 Cultural Diversity Prize for Estrie.

Present in the Granby industrial landscape for more than 90 years, the company specializing in the production of high-performance narrow fabrics has always made it a point to give pride of place to people from cultural diversity within its activities. . An organizational philosophy which has also been recognized by Actions interculturelles which was keen to highlight the contribution of Belt-Tech.

“This recognition celebrates the innovative efforts and remarkable initiatives that helped create

an inclusive work environment that respects cultural differences. The objective of this prize is to highlight actions promoting the selection, inclusion and professional development of people from immigrant and cultural communities, as well as visible, religious and linguistic minorities. the organization by means of a press release.

To date, Belt-Tech employs nearly 40 workers from cultural communities, some of whom occupy managerial positions. The latter mainly come from Tunisia, Colombia and Africa.

but also an essential lever for innovation and our collective success. This price represents a

validation of our efforts, but also an incentive to go even further,” declared Sylvie Nerbonne,

co-president of the company.
