Edoardo Bove aims for comeback after heart incident and defibrillator installation: ‘I’m fine, and that’s what matters’

Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove is considering a return to the field after a heart incident on December 1. Bove collapsed during a match against Inter and has since had a defibrillator implanted. He shared his intentions on Instagram on Monday.

“I’m fine, and that’s what matters most,” the 22-year-old Italian wrote in an open letter. “See you soon… on the field! » During a league match, Bove suffered a heart attack and was taken away by ambulance. The referee decided to suspend the match until further examinations revealed a heart problem. A defibrillator was then installed to protect his health.

However, strict regulations in Italian football prohibit playing with such a device. Notably, Christian Eriksen had to leave Inter after undergoing a similar procedure. He collapsed during Euro 2021 but was treated before joining Brentford in England, then Manchester United.
