A hub for local artisans takes shape in Ampsin

In Ampsin, an original project is taking shape on a plot of 9,500 m² located between the Meuse and the railway line. An entrepreneur decided to create a hub for local artisans. This site will host around ten SMEs from summer 2025.

Located on Quai de Lorraine, the craftsmen’s center in Ampsin is currently under construction. This innovative site will be able to accommodate 10 SMEs in spaces of 240 m² each. Fully equipped and ready for use, each cell is designed to meet the needs of artisans in the region who cannot set up in industrial zones.
“The legislation is a little complicated, and so they don’t have too many solutions to establish themselves and be able to develop. Here, we can accept all activities. We are outside the zoning, we are in a very good geographical heart located So, for craftsmen in the region, this is the right solution,” explains Nicolas Germain, boss of the Green Concept company.
The craftsmen center is largely carried out by local companies. In addition, the large central courtyard, 30 m wide, will be landscaped with draining paving stones, demonstrating particular attention paid to the environment. “In terms of water, the courtyard is completely permeable to water, so we create a lagoon here behind. No discharge into the sewer or the Meuse, compared to the problems of flooding, etc. There are also rainwater tanks on each 10,000 liter cell, so everyone will be able to reuse their water. There is also the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels. We really tried to create something ecological as much as possible. adds Nicolas Germain.
The ten cells are available for rental and should contribute to the creation of around fifty jobs in the region. The structural work of the site will be completed by the holidays, and the roofs will be installed at the start of the year. The site will be able to welcome its first occupants in the summer of 2025.
