After a successful 2024 Olympic Games, what happens to the athletes who thrilled us this summer?

They made us dream during the 2024 Olympic Games: Alexis Hanquinquant, double Paralympic triathlon champion, Auriane Mallo-Breton, silver medalist in epee, and Mickaela Lahlah, who participated in her first games. But once the competition is over, what is life like for these athletes?

Hard return to reality in for Mickaela Lahlah: “II knew it was going to happen », declares the French field hockey champion with a nostalgic air. Auriane Mallo-Breton has resumed training in a Parisian gym. Far from the weapons room, the fencer dropped her sword to exercise on a bike. “ I haven't touched up a sword since July 30 », Declares the two-time Summer Olympic vice-champion. After her two Olympic medals, the athlete's number one goal is to have a second child.

Paratriathlete Alexis Hanquinquant continues to train daily at the swimming pool. He goes on and on with lengths and titles. After Olympic gold in Paris, this fall he won his seventh European and world champion titles. Next challenge for these champions: the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.
