Discover our tops and our flops following PSG's qualification in Lens (1-1, tab: 3-4) in the 32nd final of the Coupe de France.
The tops
Matvey Safonov
Without having been greatly solicited during the meeting, since he mainly benefited from Lens' clumsiness, Gianluigi Donnarumma's Russian understudy simply qualified Paris Saint-Germain on penalties with two high-class saves.
Gonçalo Ramos
Whether he starts or joins, the Portuguese center forward has continued to pile up goals with the capital club since his return from injury. He has become a very luxury joker, since he has three goals in as many appearances from the bench in his last three matches (Lyon, Monaco and therefore Lens).
Abdukodir Khusanov
In addition to having caused – and almost scored – the opening goal from a corner, the rough Uzbek defender targeted by PSG symbolized the excellent defensive behavior and the general character of the Lensois who are still came close to playing a nasty trick on the multiple champions of France.
The flops
Hervé Koffi
It was the understudies' match, Brice Samba being injured (like Gianluigi Donnarumma), but the Lens goalkeeper enjoyed his evening less than his colleague opposite. Powerless on Parisian shots on goal, he above all accumulated several huge blunders, particularly at the foot including this clearance in the head of Kevin Danso (87th) which could have turned into a disaster.
Brother Nzola
A real scorer, he had undoubtedly scored with his hand but the absence of VAR in the Coupe de France (not before the quarter-finals) allowed RC Lens to open the scoring. And finally, it is he who misses Lensois' first shot on goal and thus places Paris Saint-Germain on the rails of qualification.
The referee
Mr. Leonard could therefore not be helped by the video and it showed. It was mainly because of his assistant that he refused Achraf Hakimi's opening score, perfectly valid since he was not offside, and could also have refused Lensois' goal while granting them a penalty for a foul by Safonov at 0-0 (56th).
