On the last day of Laura T.’s trial before the Marne Assize Court, this Wednesday, December 11, Attorney General Alexandre Djindian requested 15 years of criminal imprisonment against the accused.

She has been on trial since Monday for the murder of her ex-partner, José Lortal. This professional truck driver and leading figure of the “yellow vest” movement in the Marne department, died on April 17, 2020 in Fismes, affected at his home by a stab.

The Advocate General notably asked the court that the presence of the accused’s daughter (aged 8 at the time of the facts) be considered as an aggravating circumstance of the crime. Based on the psychological expertise presented to the jurors this morning, he estimated that “the risk of recurrence was real”.

In his indictment, the attorney general, who represents the interests of the company, also brushed aside the question of self-defense raised by the lawyer of the accused Me Gérard Serfaty.
