The Racing Club de Lens has reached a new crucial stage brilliantly. The Lensoise management was summoned this Tuesday before the Professional Club Control Commission (DNCG) for a review of the club's financial situation in preparation for the 2024-2025 season. At the end of this examination, no specific measures have been taken against RC Lensas the club announced in an official press release: “As part of the review of the situation of clubs for the 2024-2025 sporting season, the Professional Club Control Commission has not taken any action with regard to the Racing Club de Lens”.
Sound management praised by the DNCG
This decision by the DNCG is a real recognition of the good financial health of RC Lens. The Artésiens can now approach the rest of the season with peace of mind, without having to fear sanctions or threats hovering over their future. An enviable situation that Olympique Lyonnais, for example, does not know, threatened with demotion to Ligue 2 at the end of the current financial year due to major financial difficulties.
A green light for the winter transfer window
With this green light from the DNCGRC Lens can now look forward to the second part of the season and the next winter transfer window with confidence. Lensois leaders will have the opportunity to strengthen the workforce if necessary, without major financial constraints. A valuable freedom of maneuver in the race for Europe that the Blood and Gold are currently engaged in.
Exemplary financial stability
Beyond RC Lens, the DNCG has not taken any specific measures against other clubs such as PSG, Strasbourg, Auxerre, Monaco or even FC Nantes. An additional sign of the good general financial health of French footballdespite a few isolated cases like Lyon. RC Lens is certainly one of the good students in this area, managing to combine sporting performance and rigorous financial management.
