A prevention meeting against flood risks on the banks of the Cèze

A meeting concerning the risks of flooding took place this Monday, December 2 at the Tremplin room. Organized by ABCèze and hosted by Francesca Randrianantenaina, project manager for the company, this presentation on damage prevention was followed by many potentially impacted citizens who had received invitations after studying the locations to be covered. Of course, elected officials were also present in order to be able to answer as many questions as possible that residents might have.

Presentation of the Alabri operation

“The Alabri operation aims to help and support private housing owners and landlords”explained the host.

The proposed diagnosis is made up of three phases: awareness raising, reduction of vulnerability and finally support for owners in protection work.

People who request it will therefore be able to benefit from this completely free diagnosis. An expert will come on site to explore the location and study the solutions to be implemented. Its duration is one to four hours depending on the surface to be protected. After study, a confidential report will be provided with the various avenues on the recommended work and organizational measures.

“You should know that 80% of the amount of work that will subsequently be carried out will be covered by the Barnier funds without income conditions”added the host.

After the presentation, the audience was able to ask many interesting questions, proof of everyone's involvement. The most important points being the dry stone walls, the runoff which causes damage (which will be taken into account with supporting photos), the gardens along the Cèze, the maintenance of the waterways, etc.

Francesca Randriananteinaina ended her presentation with these words: “Don’t hesitate to do this diagnosis, it’s free and it will give you recommendations to protect your property without any obligation.”
