Ismaël Boudjekada, elected environmentalist and municipal councilor in Grand-Charmont (Doubs), has once again distinguished himself with controversial remarks. This Monday, December 2, he directly attacked the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, on the social network X.
In a provocative publication, the elected official wrote: “This son of a whore will finally disappear from the government. Alhamdoulillah! (“Praise God”, editor’s note).” As reported by CNEWS, this statement referred to the censorship of the government led by Michel Barnier.
At only 29 years old, Ismaël Boudjekada has built a reputation as a controversy-maker. Elected in 2020 on the opposition list “Left and Environmentalist Citizens’ Union”, he is regularly at the heart of scandals linked to his positions.
Last June, the Nanterre court sentenced him to a fine of 20,000 euros for advocating terrorism. He then described Hamas, recognized as a terrorist organization by the European Union, as a “Palestinian resistance movement” following the October 7 attack in Israel. This court decision is currently under appeal.
The controversy did not end there. A few weeks later, Boudjekada described Hamas leader Yahya Sinouar as a “hero.” In November, a shocking new statement emerged: commenting on violence in the Netherlands against Jewish supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv, he said: “They didn't take enough, I would have liked to be in Amsterdam to run a few. »
These successive outings fuel public indignation and highlight an elected official accustomed to provocations, whose comments deeply divide opinion. Despite the condemnations and calls for resignation, Ismaël Boudjekada persists in his controversial positions.
