Vinfast launches the small VF6 electric SUV in France, here are its prices

Almost three years after its presentation, the small SUV VF6 enriches Vinfast's offering in Europe. A decisive model that can help the Vietnamese brand really take off with a more affordable offer starting at €33,990.

For its launch on the international scene, Vinfast relied on the large VF8 and VF9. A difficult start punctuated by technical problems and sales volumes not really up to the ambitions of the Vietnamese manufacturer. In Europe, salvation could come from the new VF6.

A small SUV which will find references like the Hyundai Kona, but also sedans like the Renault Megane or the Volkswagen ID.3, with fairly similar dimensions. Note that despite its relatively small dimensions, the VF6 weighs its weight: 1975 kg on the scale… This will be reflected in the autonomy and acceleration.

Already sold for a year on its national market, the VF6 will be offered in France from €33,990 in its Eco version and €37,990 for the “Plus” version. Between the two there is a notable gain in equipment. The high version thus gains 19-inch rims, the two heated and ventilated front seats with electrical adjustments, the panoramic roof, two-zone air conditioning, GPS… The Eco version already offers keyless access and starting, the screen 12.9-inch central screen, 360-degree cameras, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control.

But between the two versions, we mainly gain a 150 kW and 310 Nm engine, while the Eco version makes do with 130 kW / 250 Nm. Its name does not come only from its price, but also from its consumption. It thus announces 410 km of WLTP autonomy, compared to 379 km with the Plus equipped with the same 59.6 kWh battery. For the load, it will be difficult to make comparisons for the moment. Vinfast in fact communicates an unusual charge value of 10 to 70% in 25 minutes.

Vinfast announces the launch in France, the Netherlands and Germany, with a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty.
