On paper, the match between ASVEL Villeurbanne and Limoges could seem unbalanced given the position occupied by each of the two teams before kick-off. Except that the reality was very different! Indeed, even if they are fighting for their survival in NF1, the Limougeaudes put forward some good arguments in the Lyon region, from the first half (40-37, 20′). It was necessary that Dounya Bourhani (19 points) and the Villeurbannaises worked until the end to end up winning this victory and letting out a big “phew!” » of relief at the final buzzer.
In the same way, being far from its legendary Rock, Monaco Basket Association did not spend the most serene evening on the Poinçonnet floor. It was also the locals who were the first to draw in this meeting (21-15, 10′), under the leadership ofElisa GRISSETT (22 points). However, Julie TETART (19 points) and the Monegasques still had something under their belt and were able to accelerate in two stages, particularly at the end of the game, to win, not without difficulty, and thus maintain their invincibility.
In the Strasbourg suburbs, Graffenstaden was less worried than its competitors by its evening opponent. By leading 43-29 at halftime, SIG took a first step towards victory. Opposite, the young people from BLMA tried to get their heads above water when returning from the locker room (20-25 in the third quarter). However, experience and composure allowed Axelle MIKOREK FUENTES (18 points) and her friends to take off further at the end of the game (24-11 in the last act) to win in style and stay warm on the podium.
In the South-West, high intensity match between Ambitions Girondines and Roanne! The two teams were already close to each other halfway through (37-36, 20′). When Manon SINICO or even Rose LAURE (15 points each) had the misfortune to revive the Roannaises, they saw the promoted come back on their heels. It was ultimately only in the last seconds thatAlexia LACAULE (9 points) gave victory to his team.
A few hundred kilometers away and after a delay in ignition (26-17, 10′), probably due to the length of the trip, Geispolsheim responded. On the grounds of Colomiers, Irma RAHMANOVIC (18 points) quickly rectified the situation (9-21 in the second quarter) and regained confidence. This allowed them to definitively impose their tempo in the second half and to logically win in the Toulouse region.
In the mouths of the Rhône, the Martigues collective was able to gain the upper hand over Annemasse. The Martégales were however held in check by the Annemassiennes in the first half (38-38, 20′). But getting back to business, Célaine RICH (14 points) and his troops pressed the opposing defense, and even more at the end of the match (22-12 in the last quarter) to win
