Évelyne Baudoin, aged 61, from La Chapelle-Glain, has asserted her rights to retirement for a long career. When she was young, she saw herself as a laboratory assistant. Three days before starting classes, she found a job at the Rimbert pharmacy, in Candé (Maine-et-Loire), where she spent three years, the time to prepare her CAP as a pharmacy technician. When she arrived at the Garreau pharmacy, she studied for her professional certificate in two years. She graduated in 1983. “I was a compounder until 2009, when most pharmacies stopped compounding,” indicates Evelyne Baudouin. She spent twenty-eight years alongside Monique Garreau. Philippe Blanchot became her new employer in 2009. And thirteen years later, Aurélie Cousin took over the pharmacy in 2022.

confides Évelyne Baudoin who admits to having known at least three. From the memories, she only wants to remember the good ones, like her meeting with people who came to support her, with whom she had very good contacts.
During these forty-three years, “I tried to listen to people as much as possible and show a lot of empathy.” She was called on weekends by people who needed advice.
For her retirement, she has no shortage of projects: taking English, drawing and piano lessons, volunteering at Emmaüs, taking the time to garden and cooking for her husband who has always been a great help to her. This mother of two children and grandmother of three grandchildren also wants to take time to take care of her family.
