A fire broke out on the first floor of a building located at 103 avenue Henry Dunant in Nice, mobilizing a large number of firefighters. Thanks to rapid intervention, emergency services were able to limit the spread of the flames.
A fire started from the balcony
The disaster, which started on a 10 m² balcony, spread to the kitchen of the apartment before being brought under control. Firefighters, numbering 26 and supported by nine engines, were mobilized to contain the fire and protect the residents of the four-story building. Their effectiveness made it possible to avoid greater damage to the rest of the building.
A slightly intoxicated victim
A 65-year-old woman, slightly intoxicated by smoke, was treated on site by rescuers. After a medical assessment, it was concluded that his condition did not require transport to hospital. No other injuries were reported among residents.
An exemplary mobilization
The intervention of firefighters once again illustrates their speed and efficiency in the face of emergency situations. The exact causes of the fire remain to be determined, but an investigation should be opened to establish the precise circumstances of the fire.
