After a first film following in the footsteps of Mayenne wildlife photographer Éric Médard, filmmaker Lucas Hobé sets out again on the hunt for images of wild animals. This time, the duo did not confine themselves to Mayenne and mainly worked at night. A technical constraint combined with an artistic approach which won over the jury of a festival.

Monday November 25, 2024, they tracked the discreet genet in the area around Ancenis (Loire-Atlantique). On Tuesday, the duo followed the trail of beavers in Mayenne. Wildlife photographer Éric Médard and filmmaker Lucas Hobé went on the hunt for images again. That of wild animals that are easier to come across after dark.
After their first film Within the reach of the wild filmed mainly in Mayenne, the two professionals set themselves a major challenge: to produce a new animal documentary entitled Nocturnes and composed of 80% images filmed at night, with the help of infrared lighting.
