Sunday, December 15 in the Cheminée room, the Saint-Rémy-la-Varenne priory association is organizing its first Book Fair on the theme “Heritage and environment”.

You will be able to meet professionals and associations who have written, published, photographed or even drawn heritage », explain Thierry Guénal, president of the association, and Albert Houcq, its secretary.

The organizers ensured the presence of authors such as Emmanuel Litoux, archaeologist and regular at the Prieuré, Inès Leraud, journalist and native of who wrote “Green Algae, Forbidden History”. In 2021, she received the ethics prize from the Anticor association which fights against corruption in public life. She has just released “Battlefields: The buried history of land consolidation”. Also present will be Jean François Caraes, author of detective novels and Nicolas Jolivot, traveling artist who will present his works including the latest “Tino, a blackbird in the garden”.

The organizers also invited journalists from La Topette, an Angevin investigative newspaper and associations such as the Sablier de Blaison-Saint-Sulpice which highlights local heritage or even Maisons paysannes de .

Everyone’s work will be presented and throughout the day, interviews, signings and even discussions will be offered. The bookstore workshop in Saint-Mathurin will present the works.

The show will open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. FREE ENTRANCE.
