A delegation of more than thirty people is currently in Fiji. There are around twenty students and around fifteen accompanying people who went there for an inter-school athletics competition. In two days of competition, the little athletes from Wallis and Futuna obtained 6 medals, including 3 gold.
For a first, little athletes from Wallis and Futuna achieved a feat during the inter-school athletics competition in Fiji. They obtained 6 medals including 3 gold.
As a reminder, around twenty students aged 9 to 11 from primary schools in Wallis and Futuna are in Fiji. They participated in an inter-school athletics competition which was held over 2 days on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 November. A project within the framework of healthy sports at school which has been prepared for a year by the UGSEL territorial committee.
On the first day, first medals, 2 in all, a gold medal and a silver medal.
The children were not satisfied with these first two medals. On Friday, during the second and final day of competition, they obtained 4 additional medals, two gold, one silver and the fourth bronze.
The delegation is heading back this Saturday, November 30 and why not repeat the feat next year.
