Since Thursday, November 29, many users in Aude can no longer make or receive calls on their landlines. The department prefecture affirms that the supplier is doing everything possible to restore the network, but since then, the situation remains difficult.
In a publication made on social networks last night around 9 p.m., the prefect of Aude indicated that a technical incident is causing a breakdown of fixed and mobile networks in the Haute-Vallée de l'Aude. The post appeared this Thursday around 9 p.m., but since then no further information has been communicated.
Based on the data communicated by ARCEP (Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority), several Aude towns seem to be affected by outages at 11:30 a.m. this Friday, November 29: Camurac, Fontanès-de-Sault, Axat and Espezel.
According to our observations, network disruptions are also noted in the Pyrénées-Orientales, in Matemale, in Vallespir (like in Boulou) and in the Collioure / Port-Vendres sector. It is impossible to say at this time that these disruptions on the Catalan network are linked to the problems in Aude. Still according to our findings, SFR, Orange and Bouygues are the operators most affected.
When contacted, the Aude firefighters confirmed receiving calls to 18 but indicated that they did not know if all the calls reached them. We have not been able to contact the Prefecture of Aude, and the Prefecture of Occitanie does not seem to be aware of the outage.
