If Civilization VII occupies all our thoughts, we do not forget Humankind. The civilizational 4X developed by the French Amplitude continues to be refined over time and a new free update is arriving today, only for PC players however. Once again, the emphasis is placed on the customization of its games, in particular by defining the profile and archetypes of our opponents ourselves. Profiles that can be saved and reused at will.
At the end of 2022, Amplitude released the Together We Rule extension which offered a major overhaul of the diplomatic system in game. With this update, it will be possible to deactivate certain features in its part such as the Congress of Humanity which brought together all the civilizations, but also vassalage. In addition, politicians and governments have been entitled to a lot of rebalancing and modifications depending on the studio.
On a military level, it will finally be possible to activate instantaneous movements of units on the world map. Most importantly, ambushes have been revised and troops will no longer be able to be reinforced or bombarded, truly giving the feeling of a surprise attack. In addition, our camouflaged units that surprise an enemy troop no longer trigger an ambush. Nuclear management is also improved since it is now possible to move our missiles from one silo to another, according to our current needs. It will now be possible to carry out our nuclear tests at sea.
For the economy, the studio explains that the skills of merchants have been reviewed to remain consistent over time. From a purely visual point of view, the train lines will be more readable on the screen when choosing the construction. Finally, Amplitude announces a new scenario with the Persians in the industrial age, as well as the possibility of having cloud saving for all players with an account on Games2Gether, the platform used by the studio to communicate with its players.
