Founded in 2014 by Dr Noha Baz with honorary president Farouk Mardam Bey, the Ziryab literary prize celebrated its tenth edition on November 22 in the halls of the town hall of the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
Responding to the invitation of Rachida Dati and Noha Baz, an enthusiastic audience was able to participate in a day entirely dedicated to gastronomic literature punctuated by tasty round tables with numerous gourmet moments which showcased the artistic, literary and gastronomic talents of Lebanon and of the Levant in the spotlight.
Established as a cultural bridge between the Levant and France, the Ziryab literary prize honors each year a French-speaking work telling a beautiful story of transmission or gourmet traditions.
The jury made up of 15 members, for this tenth edition, unanimously elected the following winners during a lunch at the Hôtel de la Monnaie at Guy Savoy’s house:
– The Ziryab 2024 prize to Dorothée Perkins and Perrine Bulgheroni for the book La Foi, la forque et la fork – Collection of recipes from the monastery of Solan, published by Hachette.
– The Initiative and Discovery 2024 prize to Emmanuelle Jary for It’s better when it’s good (show and review).
– The ten-year literary personality prize of the Ziryab Prize awarded to Jacky Durand.
Afterwards, a cocktail brought together those present in good spirits.
