A unique visit that will mark the history of Corsica. On December 15, Pope Francis will travel to Ajaccio for a one-day trip. Several tens of thousands of people are expected for the occasion and in order to make you experience this exceptional event as best as possible, all of the France 3 Corse ViaStella teams are mobilizing.
Thus, on Sunday December 15, you will be able to follow the Pope’s visit live on our digital antenna and on ViaStella from 8 a.m., upon the Pope’s arrival at Campo dell’oro airport. The France 3 Corse editorial team will be on the air all day until the departure of the sovereign pontiff, culminating in a live mass at 3:30 p.m.
A slice of information of more than 9 hours live on ViaStella and the internet which will be broadcast on the giant screens installed in the streets of Ajaccio and in many towns and villages on the island.
The France Televisions teams will also be heavily involved with the presence of France Info and France 2, which will offer coverage of the day’s highlights on the group’s national channels.
During the week preceding the visit, the information editions will be largely devoted to the sovereign pontiff’s trip.
In addition, all Corsica Sera decryption broadcasts will be dedicated to this visit. The Ochjata of December 6 will be devoted to the Catholic religion in Corsica, the Cuntrastu of December 11 will have as its guest Cardinal Bustillo, architect of the Pope’s visit to Corsica. Documentaries on religion on the island will also be broadcast during the week.
