20 firefighters on site to put out the fire

On site, the Hirson firefighters were supported by those from , Plomion, Montcornet and Marle. In all, around twenty firefighters did what was necessary to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.

The lieutenant would like to underline the effectiveness of the elected official's intervention in this fire: “As soon as we arrived, he had already given us information on how to get water. We were quickly able to limit the spread“.

The fire caused no casualties, the house being a second home belonging to a Dutch woman. Emergency services remained on site for a good part of the evening to monitor the house and prevent the fire from resuming.
