A fire broke out in an apartment in the building at 42 rue Bédard, forcing the evacuation of 80 people on Tuesday afternoon in Gatineau.

The Gatineau Fire Safety Service (SSIG) indicates that it was called to intervene on the scene around 4:20 p.m. In total, 34 firefighters were mobilized and the blaze was finally brought under control around 7:30 p.m.
