here's how to buy Dyson, PS5, Sony headsets at a knockdown price…

La Poste is organizing its big annual sale of lost or unclaimed parcels for one day only. A golden opportunity to find high-tech gems and collector’s items at knockdown prices.

AirPods at -70%, a gaming PC at half price or even the latest PS5 on super sale… No, it's not the sales yet but the traditional auction of lost parcels from La Poste. A real treasure hunt that attracts thousands of participants each year.

Lost or unclaimed packages represent several hundred packages within La Poste each year. According to a well-established procedure, these mysterious shipments are carefully preserved for a legal period of one year and one day before being offered for sale at public auction. This year, the big unboxing will take place on Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m. sharp in , at 24 rue du Marché Commun. Good news for bargain hunters: it will also be possible to bid online via the interencheres.com platform, allowing everyone to participate from their sofa.

Among the 230 lots on offer this year, we find real technological gems such as an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 laptop estimated at €1,200, DJI Mini 3 Pro drones starting at €140, or even several Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaners including the prices start at €200. Sound enthusiasts are not left out with Marshall speakers, high-end Sony headphones or the highly sought-after Sonos Five. An eclectic catalog which also gives pride of place to collectibles, including Richard Orlinski figurines, limited edition Legos such as the majestic “The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell” set, or even collector's editions of video games and blu- ray.

But be careful, this treasure hunt also carries its risks. As the sale regulations clearly state: “We cannot guarantee the working condition, the lots are not tested and not detailed”. An important caveat to take into account when bidding. The practical arrangements have also been simplified this year: Interuction fees are 0% and sales fees are set at 15% including tax. To participate, simply register on the online platform and present identification. Payment can be made by credit card via a secure payment link sent by email.

An interesting point this year: all profits from the sale will be donated to the AFEH (Association of Families of Disabled Children of the Post Office and ), thus giving a solidarity dimension to the event. With the holiday season fast approaching, this auction represents a unique opportunity to find original Christmas gifts at reduced prices. Provided of course that the precious package arrives safely this time… A touch of irony which does not escape the organizers, well aware of the paradox of these objects which begin their second postal journey.
