a high school teacher and his son threatened with death on Snapchat, a complaint filed

The teacher from the Rempart-Vinci high school, as well as his son, were threatened with death in an online discussion group held on the social network Snapchat.

A teacher from the Rempart-Vinci high school, located in the 7th arrondissement of , filed a complaint after being the target, like his son, of death threats on the social network Snapchat, as revealed by Le Figaro and confirmed by BFM Marseille Provence.

The teacher targeted by the death threats filed his complaint this Monday, November 25 at the end of the day, after being made aware of the facts through a screenshot of a chat group held on Snapchat. The photo of his son is shared on this Snapchat account. Homophobic insults and death threats were made.

According to a source close to the investigation, the Snapchat group brings together all the students in the class, with the exception of his son, a final year student in the same establishment.

“This situation is obviously taken very seriously, like any attack on staff”, tells us the rectorate of the Aix-Marseille academy, specifying that the professor is “accompanied by the institution” and that he has “ received by the head of the establishment.

The rectorate also confirms that a “police investigation is underway” following the report made to the public prosecutor.
