Saturday and Sunday took place the departmental youth championship, qualifying for the regional championship. No less than 8 players from the club traveled to Plaisance du Touch for this chess marathon: 6 rounds over two days.And it was with tenacity that our young players played through the games. And we have a champion! In the Little Chicks category, Aaron, Maywenn and Chloé participated in their first competition. Among the girls, Chloé is crowned champion of Haute-Garonne! Maywenn climbs onto the 3rd step of the girls' podium and Aaron ranks 13th overall. In the Chicks category, Arthur, a tournament regular, placed 3rd with a superb 5/6. One more cup to decorate the shelves in your room! In the Pupilles category, Clément qualified for the regional championship for the 2nd time by placing 8th, his best ranking! In the Benjamins category, Makar obtained a very nice 3/6. As for Timéo, whose first tournament it was, he left with a very nice 2/6 and great ease in the 2-hour games. Finally, Maxime took part in the open for over 16s. With a 2.5/5, he leaves without a cut but with a smile that is well worth it! Congratulations to all the players who make our club shine beyond the Frontonnais! Of the 7 players who played their qualification, 5 will go to Marseillan for the regional championship.
