“Closer to a departure”, Salah ready to slam the door on Liverpool

Author of a double on Sunday and hero of Liverpool on the lawn of Southampton (2-3), Mohamed Salah nevertheless displayed a defeated look at the end of the meeting. Speaking to some journalists, the Egypt international revealed that he has still not received an offer from Liverpool management to extend his contract, which runs until 2025.

“It’s almost December and I haven’t yet received any offers to stay at the club. I’m probably more out than in,” he confided, as quoted by the Daily Mail. “You know I have been a member of the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. Like I said, we are in December and I haven’t received anything yet regarding my future. I love the fans. The fans love me. At the end of the day, it’s not in my hands or in the hands of the fans.
