Three days before the reception of LOSC in the Champions League, Bologna shattered against Lazio (3-0)Sunday on the occasion of the 13th day of Serie A. Enough to put an end to the club's rather positive series in the championship.
More than an hour at ten, three goals conceded
Three goals conceded, a red card and a loss of confidence. Bologna could hardly have had a worse preparation before their Champions League match against LOSC. Weighed down by the two yellow cards received by Tommaso Escapes in less than a quarter of an hour (23′, 35′), the Bolognese literally took on water in the second half. Came in at half time, Samuel Gigot first opened the scoring in the 68th minute of play, a few seconds after the goal was denied Boulaye Dia (ex-Reims) for an offside position.
Shortly before the start of the last quarter of an hour, Matthias Zaccagni doubled the lead, scoring his 5th league goal of the season in the process (72′). In added time, Fisayo Dele-Bashir gave a little more scale to the score. Three months after its first and so far only defeat in the championship, against Naples (3-0), Bologna relapsed and fell to 8th place in its championship, with 18 points in 12 days.
