While FC Nantes was heading towards a defeat against Le Havre (0-2), members of the Loire Brigade tried to burst onto the La Beaujoire pitch in stoppage time. The match was interrupted before resuming more than an hour later.
In the 25th minute of the match, the Loire Brigade forced the referee to temporarily stop the match between Nantes et Le Havre after throws of burst tennis balls and toilet paper rolls.
In stoppage time in the second period, members of the ultra group tried to invade the pitch even though the HAC had won the match (0-2). “We are going to Ligue 2” were chanted, while CRS deployed to prevent further excesses.
The referee stopped the match and after several minutes, both teams returned to the locker room.
A crisis unit was mobilized. A delegate then spoke to the press to indicate that the meeting would resume after more than half an hour of interruption. The players came to warm up again in front of empty stands and finished playing the last two minutes of added time.
