Will the Swiss population agree to widen six sections of motorway for 5 billion francs? Will she want to modify tenancy rights in favor of owners? Will she want to change the way health care services are financed? The answers will come from 12 p.m. on the website of the matin.ch.
The day promises to be crucial for political parties. Are we heading towards a four-time no, or a 4 to 0 for the left? Or 3 to 1 or 2 to 2… After the defeats on the AVS last March and on the reform of the 2nd pillar in September, have the bourgeois parties woken up to end the year in style by winning at least three of the objects? The polls leave the suspense hanging.
In the last Tamedia poll, widening the motorways had 49% yes, 48% no and 3% undecided. Between two Tamedia polls, the dynamic was negative on this subject, since the yes vote fell from 56% to 49%. The latest SSR poll showed the same trend with a decline in the yes vote from 51% to 47%, while the no vote would win with 51%.
Concerning the modification of the lease law for subletting, the people would say no at 51% according to the Tamedia poll, compared to 50% yes according to that of the SSR. Here too, the no side made progress during the campaign. For the second object on lease law, termination for the needs of the owner, it would be refused by 56% against 41% yes, according to Tamedia, and 53% no against 44% yes according to the SSR.
Finally, for the modification of the financing of health services (EFAS), the Tamedia survey gives 46% yes against 44% no, that of the SSR 54% yes against 37% no. There were still around 10% of people undecided on this rather difficult subject.
On this Sunday morning, we can say that the suspense remains, in any case on three subjects: highways, subletting and health financing.
