What is the weather like in Hauts-de-France this weekend? and for the beginning of next week ?
Well, today we are under the influence of depression BERT, which is circulating northwest of the British Isles. It generates a southerly flow for us which brings a lot of gentleness and a strong wind.
This morning, the sky is cloudy, but the sun remains visible. A few drops remain possible, but are not the dominant character of the day. The wind reaches 90 km/h along the coast, 50 to 70 km/h inland.
This afternoon, the weather is often bright despite a veil of clouds. The wind is not weakening since we still have 90km/h on the coast, locally 100 in the Capes region, and 60/70km/h inland.
In terms of temperatures, they are around 6 to 8° at daybreak, or 2 to 4° above Normal.
This south wind brings us great mildness after midday with 14 to 16°, even 18° on the Calais side. We are 7° above seasonal norms.
For this start of the week, Mondaythe BERT depression shifts towards the south of Norway. The cold front of the associated disturbance crosses us during the morning. It brings locally heavy rain to the region. These rains evacuate towards Champagne in the afternoon and a trailing sky sets in, with light showers at first, but which become heavier over Pas-de-Calais in the evening. Total rainfall is generally between 7 and 15 mm but can reach 20/25 mm in the west of Pas-de-Calais.
The southerly wind blows up to 70 km/h below the disturbance, then orients to the southwest behind it, and no longer exceeds 50 to 60 km/h. Morning temperatures are still extremely mild at 11 to 14° and we lose a few degrees at the end of the day, in the wake which brings us cooler air, namely 8 to 11° at the end of the day.
MardiWe we're in the sky of trolling. Showers are circulating, they are sustained on the coast exposed to the southwest wind. A few thunderclaps are possible. Inland the showers are more scattered. We are monitoring the accumulations in Pas-de-Calais.
The wind is blowing up to 40 to 50 km/h. Temperatures are falling since they display 6 to 9° in the morning, 9 to 11° in the afternoon.
Wednesdaya depression is circulating over the British Isles. A new disturbance concerns the north of France, with again strong winds and marked rain. We expect gusts up to 80 km/h with the disturbance and an improvement during the afternoon and we have 6 to 13°.
This Sunday, November 24, air quality will remain average across the region. The atmospheric conditions will allow good dispersion of the different pollutants and will limit the formation of ozone which is however the majority pollutant.
