This Friday afternoon, it was between around 3 and 5°C in Aisne. In less than 48 hours, it will be ten degrees warmer. After this weekend's snowy episode, a spectacular mild spell is predicted across France this weekend.
It is explained by a rise of hot air from the Morocco.
Saturday November 23
The rise in mercury will be gradual : Saturday morning, it will still be only 1°C in Thiérache, 2°C in Laon, or 3°C in Château-Thierry, indicates Météo France. The sky will be overcast, and will remain so all day. In the afternoon, it will be around 5°C across the entire department, and perhaps a degree less in Thiérache.
The 10°C mark will be exceeded during the night in Château-Thierry, while it will be 9°C in Soissons and Saint-Quentin, and 7°C in Hirson.
Sunday November 24
The sky will remain mostly gray on Sunday morning, even if clearings are expected in Thiérache. Mercury will reach already 10°C over almost the entire department.
Then it will happily exceed them in the afternoon: 12°C in Vervins, 14°C in Laon and 15°C in Soissons or Sissonne. In the North-East of France, temperatures will overall be 7 to 10°C higher than seasonal norms, indicates Météo-Villes.
The sky should be rather clear in the north of the department, from Saint-Quentinois to Thiérache, as well as in the south, around the Marne valley. On the other hand, clouds should dominate in the center of Aisne, from Tergnier to Soissons via Laon.
These very mild temperatures should continue at the start of next week, which will also be marked by the return of rain.
