The firefighters of theOrne have been fighting since 3 p.m., this Friday, November 22, 2024, against a major fire who declared himself in a residential house located at 9 rue du Docteur Louis-Tremblin, in the village of Carrougesnorthwest of Alençon (Orne).

At 7:30 p.m., the intervention was still in progress and the street was closed to traffic.

Resident of burning house still wanted

At 7:30 p.m., the resident of the burning house was still being sought by rescuers. According to our colleagues from Ouest-France, it would be “a man in his sixties ».

In photos and videos of people present on site, we can see that the roof of the house was completely destroyed by the flames.

Important means of relief were dispatched to the scene, at least “four fire engines, including a large ladder”.

A command post was also set up to supervise the intervention.
