In China, children limited to 1 hour of smartphone use per day

In an increasingly connected world, Chine has been something of a UFO by imposing certain restrictions for several years when it comes to digital technology.

Laws already require video game publishers to display alerts every hour to players to invite them to take a break. There CACthe Chinese Cyberspace Administration, had already implemented a digital curfew for minors, preventing them from accessing the Internet between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

A measure that could go further soon. There is thus talk of the creation of a “minor mode” on all smartphones sold in China and which would impose a limit of one hour of maximum use per day for all minors under 16 years old.

Restrictions that overlap with the curfew and a notification that invites you to take a break afterwards 30 minutes of continuous use. This minor mode will also be associated with a filter which will ensure that only suitable content will be accessible to the user.
