Formula 1: At what time and on which channel to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

After 3 weeks of truce, the time has come for the end of this 2024 Formula 1 season with a final Triple Header. First stop this weekend, from November 22 to 24, for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Discover the weekend program on CANAL+ channels.

Formula 1

There are only three Grands Prix left in this 2024 season. Three races which will take place in the space of two weeks from November 22 to December 8. A decisive Triple Header which begins this weekend in Las Vegas. After his spectacular comeback in Brazil (starting from P17 to finish 1st), Max Verstappen could already be crowned world champion in Sin City. He will just need to score 2 more points than Lando Norris. The Dutchman, after 10 GP droughts, will try to win a second race in a row, having already won last year in Las Vegas.

Test schedule, sprint race and qualifying

For the 22nd race of the season, Formula 1 fans will have to get up very early to follow the practice and qualifying sessions. No sprint race on the program however. We will have to wait until Qatar (November 30) to follow the last event of its kind.

The program for the Las Vegas Grand Prix:

  • -Free practice 1: Friday November 22 at 3:15 a.m. on CANAL+SPORT
  • -Free practice 2: Friday November 22 at 6:45 a.m. on CANAL+SPORT
  • -Free practice 3: Saturday November 23 at 3:15 a.m. on CANAL+SPORT
  • -Qualifying: Saturday November 23 at 6:40 a.m. on CANAL+SPORT

At what time and on which channel to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

As always, the drivers’ impressions before departure can be found in the show La Grille. Then, it’s time for the Grand Prix, to be followed on CANAL+, preceded by the show Le Podium. The reactions of drivers, consultants and journalists will be followed in Formula One.

Sunday November 24:

  • -La Grille: 5:55 a.m. on CANAL+
  • -The Mexican Grand Prix: 6:55 a.m. on CANAL+
  • -The Podium: 8:45 a.m. on CANAL+
  • -Formula One: 9:00 a.m. on CANAL+

What to expect from the Las Vegas Strip circuit?

The Las Vegas circuit has only been part of the calendar since last year (2023). 6th urban route (with Monaco, Baku, Singapore and Jeddah), the race takes place in the heart of Sin City, even passing through the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, The Strip. A passage in front of the Caesars Palace, the , the Mirage and many other renowned hotels, with a total length of 1.9 km between turns 12 and 14. With a length of 6.2 km, the Las Vegas circuit has 17 turns and is completed in 50 laps. 2 DRS zones on Koval Lane and, therefore, on the Strip, and a total race distance of 309,958 km, Las Vegas is a very popular circuit, particularly for its speed. The race takes place at night (Saturday at 10 p.m. local time). With only one edition under his belt (2023), the record for the fastest lap goes to Oscar Piastri with McLaren: 1’35.490.

No Formula 2 on the program

The F1 antechamber will not be present at SSãoPaulo. The next Formula 2 event will be in Qatar, from November 29 to December 1, for the penultimate race of the year. will be able to count on Isack Hadjar, 2nd in the Formula 2 driver rankings. Victor Martins will also represent the Tricolores in Singapore. The Formula 3 season ended at Monza on September 1.
