from now on, the price of the entrance ticket will increase depending on demand

The Seine-et- amusement park has moved to dynamic pricing similar to what is practiced in air or rail, but ensures that the minimum price has fallen.

As in air and rail, Disneyland is putting itself into «yield management». The Marne-la-Vallée amusement park introduced dynamic pricing for its entrance tickets this Tuesday, November 19, the prices of which will vary depending on demand. Like most large European parks, Disneyland Paris already offered different prices depending on attendance: until now, each day was classified according to expected attendance with a more or less expensive price. But once fixed, the price no longer changed. From now on, as with a train ticket, the more the park fills up that day, the more the price will increase.

A week after the controversy over reserved and paid areas to have a breathtaking view of the Christmas parade – which remains free for all visitors – the announcement made some park faithful grumble on social networks, annoyed by what they perceive as a further increase in prices. Contacted by Le FigaroDisneyland Paris emphasizes that the price variation is within a fixed range, and that with this new system, the minimum price has fallen.

Tickets from 50 euros

We can indeed find one-day/one-park tickets at 51 euros on Wednesdays in January (and even 50 euros on January 21, 2026 – you have to plan ahead), compared to 56 euros until then, even if this only concerns a few dates in the year, and that this price can exceed the old minimum if the park is full on those days. Over the next 18 months, 153 dates are currently at 65 euros or less for this type of ticket, management assures. As for the one-day/two-park ticket (which allows you to visit both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios), it starts at 75 euros.

The most expensive tickets currently on sale reach 130 euros for a day at both parks, on certain days during the upcoming Christmas holidays; the park does not specify the maximum possible price. However, certain special days – July 14, October 31 and December 31 – will be offered at much higher prices: a month and a half before the New Year, for example, you have to pay 175 euros for a two-park ticket on that date, or 155 euros for Halloween day in 2025. A price justified by the offer offered on these days, says Disneyland Paris, the main park remaining open later and offering shows and fireworks.

18 months of visibility

The park boasts a system giving more visibility to its visitors, who can now reserve their ticket up to 18 months in advance, compared to just one year previously. The selected price is blocked for 60 minutes when placed in the cart. And tickets are refundable or changeable up to three days before the tour. Undated tickets, however, see their price increase by 14 euros: you will have to pay 119 euros for a day in one park (compared to 105 euros previously) and 144 euros for the two parks (compared to 130 euros), if you do not want to do not commit to a visit date at the time of purchase.

As in transport, the «yield management» is a way for the company to maximize its revenue by inflating prices on days that sell well, while pushing visitors to book as far in advance as possible. This then allows it to best calibrate its offer and its workforce to be mobilized for each day according to the expected attendance. Reduced prices during quiet periods also help smooth out attendance by encouraging visitors to avoid days when the parks are busy.
